Random krAzy Thots RkT3.0
#MyElectionMusings
3.01
The politicians don’t ‘fight’ against themselves for our sake. They do so for their individual, selfish and greedy interests. If we can’t unite to fight against them, AT THE VERY LEAST, let’s stop fighting ourselves because of them.
3.02
If a politician approaches me with arms to ‘fight for him’ during this election, I’ll collect it …BUT ON ONE CONDITION. His child/children must come and lead the fight.
Don’t be deceived. Their immediate family will be the first beneficiary of them becoming president (or whatever posts they get elected into). If the children can’t come out to fight for their parents, which one be my own for the mata?

Dear Elite, 1million retweets is NOT EQUAL to 1million votes. Get Your PVC. AND VOTE TOO…signed; krAzy

Here's why the young and vibrant candidates who participated in the presidential debate still don't have any realistic chance of winning the elections despite their brilliant performances: Majority of those who saw the debates (and were impressed by the candidates) would not vote. Those who will vote didn't watch the debate for various reasons: didn't have light, can’t afford a generator, couldn't fuel the gen, don't have enough education to understand all the big-big grammar that was spoken at the debates...and more.

Although, it's ok to have big and lofty ambitions (referring to the young presidential aspirants) but then, I greatly salute people like Banky W who have chosen to start from the grassroots.
If the change we seek must happen, it has to start from the bottom upwards and not the other way round.
Quick question: even if any of the new, young and vibrant presidential aspirants win the elections, how do they expect to survive when they have a national assembly full of enemies who will do everything possible to frustrate their government?
3.06
...still on the presidential debate...The two leading presidential aspirants gave reasons why they couldn’t attend the presidential debate.
They wouldn't miss the rallies because all you need to have a successful rally is just a little out of the stolen money to throw at ignorant citizens. A debate is a different ball game entirely. You need to have something upstairs.
An intellectual mind would pick a debate over a rally a million out of a million times.
I nor mention anybody name oooo!!!

I'm not disappointed in the trader / market-woman singing the praises of either APC or PDP. I'm AWFULLY DISAPPOINTED IN THE ELITES WHO AT THE VERY LEAST TRIES TO DIFFERENTIATE ONE FROM THE OTHER. Is it not obvious that they're all the same?
As one of "the other" presidential aspirants put it, they're "two sides of the same coin".

This charged season will pass. Let’s not destroy several years of friendship because of our differing views in support for (or against) specific candidates who don’t care about us. After these elections, we’ll left alone with ourselves...
This particular thot was inspired by my boss; Ambrose Olutayo Somide.

Since independence, we've had more presidents / heads-of-state from the northern part of the country than from all the other tribes combined, yet people in their region are the least educated in the country. Don't you think that's an intentional plot by the few elites amongst them to perpetually USE THEM to win elections?
Hmmmmm! ...just thinking aloud!

Look around you! Posters EVERYWHERE!...especially in Lagos. Right now, if you stand too long on the roadside, someone will approach you with starch and poster, ready to paste it on you. That’s how bad it is.
Now, if I paste my poster, advertising my hustle, "the agencies" will put a disclaimer on it saying I have committed an offence by doing so. Yet, our “supposed leaders” have their posters defacing EVERY wall and no one is saying anything.
In my opinion, any leader whose poster is found in a wrong place isn’t leading by example and shouldn’t be voted for.
But then, what does it matter? I’m only krAzy and all I have is one vote.
3.11
When it’s a political rally, they mobilize ALL and ANY available youth. But if it’s a job opportunity, they remember only their family members…
This is not my original thot. I saw it first on my friend; WAPI BLACK's Facebook wall...but I find it worth sharing in this series.
3.12
I've heard a lot of people say "why vote? My vote does not count".
Well, the truth is your vote may not count, but your refusal to vote counts MUCH MORE...but negatively.
I dare say here and now that, the people who refuse to vote are our biggest problems.
You'll understand my point better when I share my final post in the series (on Friday, 15th)...I've titled it, "WHEN I BECOME PRESIDENT".
3.13
If you're a registered voter and you INTENTIONALLY refuse to vote, you should be arrested and jailed for aiding and abetting election rigging...but then, what does it matter, I'm only krAzy and I'm not a lawmaker.
By the way, you think my submission is extreme??? Please, wait till you read my true-life experience as a youth corper NYSC staff. I'll share it on Friday, 15th.
3.14
There's no RkT3.14 so as we get set to wrap off tomorrow, let's use today to emphasize two things:
1. Thank you for following the series so far. I'm grateful.

2. Please take time to read my personal NYSC experience as an INEC adhoc staff in the 2011 elections which I have titled, "WHEN I BECOME PRESIDENT".
Welcome to my krAzy world!!!
